Just after New Years, we got on our first airplane since the move and headed to Hawaii for our big Wappett family reunion. It was great to be in the warm, even if it wasn't too sunny most of the week. My boys first time to a real, ocean beach. It took them a little time to warm up to the waves and wind and everything, but by the second day, Stratton told me we could live there for a while and that would be okay.
I love this picture of Stratton with his Granddad's flippers on...he looks ready to go, when in reality, he was pretty scared of the ocean and waves most of the week. Here's Dashell and his new best friend, Uncle Matt. Nothing like family for instant best friends! He insists on asking for Uncle Matt to come and find treasures with him on a regular basis since we got home.
Dashell was a little more daring than Stratton, as always. He started his boogey boarding days pretty young, although he was torn between laughing and screaming the whole time.
The peanut gallery. All the cousins who got cold would line up to watch the action while they prepped for a return to the action. We loved having the chance to spend a week with cousins and constant fun.
